Voltmeter running high side of normal 200 1982

Hi all,

Just turned 100k with my 82 242 turbo and within a day the voltmeter started showing what I consider an abnormal reading.

While driving on freeway, voltmeter will be about 1/16" from the red on the high side. At idle on the street it will be about 1/8" away.

Normally the guage is almost dead center.

Any ideas where to begin?
