Changing out the grease from the rear differential S90-V90

I noticed that some of you are running syn. grease in the diff. How do you change this out, took the car to my normal oil change place and they said that they would have to pull the diff to get the fluid out, that there wasn't a drain plug to allow for the old fluid to drain.
