What I plan to do is substitute the up- and- over- the- valve- cover- with- the –rubber- hose part of the fuel line with some copper tubing. It would have the same inside diameter (I think) and would go from the fuel pump, up the DS inside fender, towards the front and across the funny hood sealer bracket thingy, back along the PS fender, down the inside PS fender to the level of the SUs and do a reverse to the inlet for the carbs. It would go kinda down after it makes the trip up the inside of the DS fender, to take advantage of gravity and keep pump stress to a minimum. I would use small pieces of rubber hose on each end, for obvious reasons.
What size tubing would you recommend? Would it have to be smaller since I’ll be lengthening the pump to carbs trip the gas must travel? Of course I don’t want to prematurely wear out the pump or create a carb starving problem.
Any thoughts?
