Good Morning. I have a 89' 740 GL wagon for two years now. Like it for it use. Has 212,000 on OD, but the speedo is messed up , and when it does not work it adds too many miles on OD. A 18 mile trip i take all the time sometimes puts 100 miles on OD. This does not really upset me, just don,t know true milage of car. At purchase, i replaced exhaust, timing belt, hubcaps and the hood. Needs complete brake job at this time. Looks ok, has really no rust for a 15 year old NorthEast car. I have about $ 1,500 it it at this time.
Last nite in the dark i looked at a 92' 240 DL wagon, 155,000 miles, black with great interior, new exhaust, brakes & fuel pump, $ 1,500 asking price. Body is also good, will need a front left fender in future, looks like the cowl drain may be plugged. Radio is shot. Needs tires.
I would give up roof rack, heated seats, sun roof. Does a 240 have less cargo room than a 740 ? I may be able to get $1,000 to $1,200 for 740, what do you guys think ? THANK !
