1986 240 dl starts, idles but stalls under load 200 1986

Help, my 240 will start ok, but as soon as you put in gear or push down the accelartor it dies. I can get it to rev if you ease up the throttle ever so gently. I have replaced the fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor with no improvement. Disconnecting the AMM has no effect, vacumn lines all check ok. Fuel pressure seems ok but I cannot locate the adapter to check. Next on my list is to check the timing belt, anyone have any suggestions on this problem. Any help would be appreciated
