plastic fuel line confirmation [attn: Bruce, Jim, Greg, Mario] 200 1982

Hello Bruce, Greg, Jim & Mario,

I don't want to beat this one to death but I just reread a post from Greg [gms]where he describes the plastic fuel line as the HIGH PRESSURE side. The other hose, which connects to the main fuel pump, is described as "ordinary rubber fuel hose".

This conflicts with later posts from Bruce, Jim and Mario that describe the plastic fuel line as the return line, with a working pressure of approximately 2psi.

It would seem, logically, that the plastic fuel line is designed to take higher pressure than a common fuel line.

BUT, I do remember the post that said that '90s 240s came equipped with standard hoses and standard clamps.

I'd like some confirmation, particularly from Greg if he reads this post, to the effect that the plastic line is not a high pressure line and that ordinary fuel hose will do the job. Nothing elaborate, but I would appreciate your continuing input. I am off to buy some F1 hose clamps right now.

Bob
