High Idle Speed 200 1988

Son's car, 88 245 DL; hasn't been driven much lately. At start up in park, idles at over 1500 rpm; drops to 1000 when in drive. Idle also increases when a/c is selected. These symptoms are recent.

I suspect that throttle body needs servicing; however, what other things could cause this?
