B-18/B-20 bearing replacement 120-130 1968

I recently bought a '68 122 wagon(220) and I got it started after sitting for years.the second day I started it it made an aweful racket.Like marbles in the crankcase or something.
How do I find out what broke? drop the oil pan?pull the head?
It still runs but is loud and hasn't got much power.
Does the '68 have the B-18 or B-20? it has a single carb.I looked on the block for a number but didn't see one.
Thanks for you help.phil
