I'm looking into relay kits for the headlights on my 1989 240. On a couple of the sites where the kits were offered for sale, nothing was said about possible voltage imbalances/bulb failure warning lights. However, I seem to think that on one site, the seller made a specific point to claim that his relay kit would not cause a bulb failure warning light, unlike other kits offered for sale.
Do headlight relay kits cause a bulb failure warning light, or do they prevent a non-working light from being detected?
If you are intimately familiar with how a relay kit would reroute the electrical system, please feel free to explain, but all I need is a yes or no response to determine if I want to continue considering the purchase of a kit.
