Got me a miss. 120-130

First I want to thank all of you who answer the relentless amount of questions that come up here. I have learned so much by just reading past and present posts. You is thumb thmart people out there.

Anyway, my mostly stock B18 has a strange miss during light throttle applications. The motor has 75,000 original miles on it. I have done the regular tune up procedures (new plugs, new plug wires, set timing, adjust valves) as well as added a pertronix ignitor and cleaned and checked the advance mechanism. The miss was there before as well as after the tune-up. Compression test shows 135 on the front two cylinders and 140 on the rear two cylinders. The motor runs in a good temp. range and the plugs look good (chocolatey brown insulator). I have adjusted the carbs a little, but nothing has seemed to make any difference in this miss. It doesn't happen at all during full throttle applications, just under light, cruising throttle. It is also worse at lower RPM's than it is at higher ones.

I am considering popping for a set of Ryhs's rebuilt carbs (mostly because they are so darn pretty) but I would like your opinions first. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Christopher
