1994 940 Turbo Compression Question 900 1994

Situation: Car was running fine with no symptoms except some Crankcase pressure forcing air and some oil residue out of the dipstick port. After 2 days sitting, I started car, then it immediately died.

I noticed the fuel guage was on E, and car sitting on angle front end lower than trunk, but only on 10-15 degree angle.

I could not get it to restart, so I put 5 gallons of fuel in tank....no results.

I checked the fuel pressure at the injection manifold - it is OK

Did compression check, although at cold temp. Findings: #1=100, #2=115, #3=100, #4=110 Note:last check results (2-3 months ago)#1=135, #2=136, #3=125, #4=168

I have not done the tablespoon of oil in the cylinder check yet, but will before proceeding.

Question: Is it more likely that the rings would all fail at the same time or that the head gasket would fail between all cylinders causing low compression?

Also, last time this problem occured, the camshaft roll pin had sheared off causing the camshaft pulley to slip out of alignment. It is fine this time.

Thank you in advance for your expert advice and suggestions,

Fife
