240 DL braking vibration 200 1991

My beloved Heidi, a 1991 240 DL with 150k, is driving me insane with a peculiar vibe that happens during braking. I have done the following work to resolve this problem: lower strut ball joints, new front rotors, pads, wheel bearings/races, outer tie rod ends and new tires. The vibration is similar to when the car has a lot of weight in it which I suspect is the transmission shock mount. Any ideas? Could the trans mount cause a vibration during braking??

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
