Hi everyone,
I thought I'd post this here as I haven't gotten much of a response on the 700 forum. I'm revising my Christmas list a little and thought I'd ask a couple questions. I've spent a few hours reading old messages about sport/lowering springs, but I'm still not clear on a few things; I'd like to lower my 745T slightly (no more then ~1.5 in) to get the handling and look benefits, but I don't want to make the ride too harsh. The car currently has Hydras with new Kumho 711s (205/55R16 V), KYB shocks all around, upper and lower chassis braces and IPD swaybars. On my list I had IPD sport springs, but today I read that they're not progressive rate springs and the ride would suffer quite a bit due to that fact. So, I looked around and decided that the lowering springs from EuroSport Tuning (http://www.eurosporttuning.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=EST&Product_Code=400-872-36) would be a better choice as they're progressive rate and appear to be high quality (anyone know who makes them?). Am I right in assuming that these would be better all around springs for my 745? Keep in mind that I live in Nova Scotia, so some of our roads are pretty rough therefore I want a spring that will do the sporting when I want it, but not break my spine when I'm driving normally. I think the car would look pretty good with a 1-1.5 in drop with the Hydras (the car is silver). The handling is pretty good as it is, but I find that even with the IPD sways it's still not as confident in the turns as I think it should be. Anyway, any input would be appreciated! :)
