740 Headlight Conversion 700

Hey guys, I'm new here. Got a question...since you guys seem to be the Volvo enthusiasts, does anyone know if I can convert my '88 740's headlamp system over to 1990 style? I know their lighting is for the birds, but I don't drive much at night anyhow. It's purely costmetic. I was taking a look at my core support and it looks like I could possible swap the headlights, headlight buckets, and use those filler panels. Is this all a direct swap? Any info you guys have will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
