Rainy day won't start 200 1989

It’s was raining heavily the night before, got into the car yesterday morning, engine cranked but she won’t start, I got to the point that I close to drain the battery so I stop trying and has to find a ride to work, this morning she started right up, plugs, rotor, cap was changed 8k ago last year, I’m thinking changing the wire (it’s more than 4 years old) anything else I should change or check?
