knock sensor to retard timing for hi Nox failure 700

Anyone know if you can rig the knock sensor to retard the timing on an 87 b230f 2.2lh? How about temp sensor on radiator?

Have high Nox but others are right on. Lack of EGR may be a contributor. Cat was replaced along with o2 sensor last year.
