I'm replacing the cover gasket on the rear dif ('66 122s) to hopefully take care of a slow leak (it might be coming from the front of the diff, but I hope not....). I have the paper gasket and I'm scraping and scraping (gently) to get the old material off. Should I dress the new gasket/surfaces with anything prior to installation?
