81 240 Wagon charging problems! REPOST! 200

I want to thank everyone who helped me. Once I new exactly what to look for , I found it immediately. My problem was that I had removed the starter and when I installed it again, the wire from the alt. had dropped down and was not visible at all therefore I never connected it and couldn,t see that it wasn't connected.Thanks again. Ed Lovett
