1800 Newbie questions. 1800 1971

Well I made one of the best/stupidest decisions of my life last week. I purchased a 1971 1800E. Here are some pictures for your perusal:

Already I have some questions for the members of this board.

The battery tray is pretty badly corroded and I'm curious if any of you know a good place in Tempe/Phoenix that does welding. I can not imagine that it could be too difficult/costly for a good shop to just weld some new plate in there. I was planning on hitting it with some primer and black paint when they get done with that. I am also looking for a good shop in the area that does some work on vintage Volvos. She could use a new head gasket at some point in the future. A tune up by someone much more knowledgeable in these cars is probably also in order.

She failed the idle emissions test with flying colors (figures :-)). However, I just found out that Arizona has recently passed a law that makes pre-1979 cars exempt for emissions. I would still like to see if I can get her to idle a bit smoother. I know that could be a pipe dream with such a high compression motor and the lower octane/non leaded fuels.

I am also looking for recommendations on a glass shop. I will be needing a new windshield soon and that is not the kind of job I can do myself. I have already sourced a windshield through the local Volvo dealer, but am looking for recommendations on whom I could trust to install it properly.

Any recommendations are very welcome. This is my first older car and I know that I will need to put some work into her and will have lots of questions. I hope that I do not become too much of a nuisance on the board. Thank you in advance.
