Extending the Life of a 940 (non-turbo) 900 1993

I have a 93 940 with approximately 180 miles. I bought the car new. I have done most of the maintenance on the car myself with the exception of a few times when the expertise of the local Volvo dealer was required. This regular maintenance included regular oil and filter changes, transmission fluid changes, timing belt replacements, fuel system cleanings etc. The car has the original fuel pump (yes the fuel pump relay did fail and was replaced at about 150K). Also original are the starter, alternator, auxiliary relay, and oxygen sensor.
I plan to give the car to my son who is moving to another city. The car will be too far away for me to be able to maintain it and fix it when it breaks. I am considering preventively replacing the starter, alternator, auxiliary relay, oxygen sensor, and fuel pump before they fail.
From my point of view these are items that could fail suddenly, leave my son stranded and at the mercy of some unscrupulous Volvo repair shop. My question is what other components should I consider replacing or servicing? Other than a couple of oil leaks (no evidence of oil burninig!), the car runs great and still gets gas mileage in the high 20's.
When my son buys his own car I plan to buy the 940 back from him and keep on driving it.
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks!
