Did something really stupid. Was in a hurry (mistake one) to check under the car and the jack slipped off the differential (I was walking away to get a jack stand) and the full weight of the car landed on the pan-hard rod? (rod parallel to the axle) :(
The bar was bent pretty good but the mounts looked solid, so with a chain and hydraulic jack I was able to straighten it out. It is still bent maybe three degrees in the middle but no cracks were visible and the mounts also looked good, no visible cracks stress marks, etc.
I drove the car all over and found no wierd alignment issues, no unusual sounds or movements over rough pavement.
Am I really really lucky (nothing needs to be replaced and not to mention not being under the car when it fell) or am I on borrowed time and should try and find a replacement and have all the mounts rewelded for safety?
Thanks in advance,
-Erik
