Apparently the 90 240 has one more sensor than the 88- we know about the flywheel sensor, but there is another one that was on the head of the engine that came out of the 90 that we don't have a place for. We took out a bolt that was the same size as the sensor bolt at the very back of the 88 head on the driver's side and put the sensor in there.
Does anyone know what the additional sensor does and what it connects to?
Can anyone give us some technical assistance making the connections? We put a nice b230 engine from an 88 that had 85,000 mi in the 90 wagon. We have it mounted correctly on the motor mounts, we took the trans from the 90 and connected it to the 88 engine because of the flywheel compatibility problems. Now we need to find out where everything goes.
I don't really know how to read wiring diagrams but I have another 90 240 in the driveway that I can look at for hints. Is there anyone out there with more experience that can help? We are total newbies!
Thanks
