Urethane front control arm bushings impossible to install? 200

I was trying to install a set of Urethane Front Lower Control Arm Bushings (Super Pro) that I got from fcpgroton and found the task to be impossible. I had no problem pressing in the two halves of the bushing, but once I try to insert the metal core the pressure just causes the bushings to ooze out. I tried several times even modifying the bushing slightly and filing down the tip of the metal insert so it would not catch on the edge of the second bushing but it did not help much.

The way I see it I would need special machined parts that fit over the ends of each bushing with a hole for the core insert, then a special vise to hold those machined parts on the control arm that also has a hole in it so I can put it all in another vise to press in the metal insert.

I ended up giving up and ordering the OEM bushings to try to install this weekend.

Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience in futility.
