Rear crank seal questions 200 1990

The slushbox went out on my 240 last week. Lost 3rd gear. As long as I'm replacing the transmission I'm going to replace the rear main seal and is there anything else in there that needs replacing? Seal on the input shaft on the tranny? Also, if the old main seal has worn a groove in the crank, how much 'wiggle room' is there to either tap the seal on farther or not as far to be able to catch a new spot on the crank?
