Got my used engine delivered yesterday and I was kind of disappointed in the condition of it! The oil pan was so rusted out that I could almost put a screwdriver thru it! The junk yard guys that removed the engine broke off one of the exhaust header studs (flush) in the turbo so that will need to be drilled out and re-tapped! And the flexplate/flywheel timing ring was bent so bad I have to re-use my old one. Good news is I contacted the junk yard and they took $150.00 off the price of the used engine. Does anyone know if I can use RTV sealant instead of a gasket on the oil pan?
