Ok, I love my 1981 volvo. But it has many issues that I am learning how to fix. What would I do without brickboard? My current inquiry is about the heating system. It won't turn off, and only blows hot air. Its not too bad in the winter (although it gets excessively hot), but in the summer we just about dehydrated. The engine doesn't seem to be running hot, the indicator shows it right in the middle, temperature-wise. I can change the blower, how much air comes out, but I can't turn it all the way off. There is always hot air! There is something making a funny noise, usually while the car is warming up, which a friend thinks is the heater core needing lube. I hope this is enough info to identify the problem for all you experts. Thanks so much.
