960 locked in park - won't start 900 1992

I've had a problem with the winter/sport mode switch for a which - car would go into winter mode by itself. I just stopped the car and pushed the buttons and restarted - she worked fine. Recently she has started not restarting after a short run when it's cold. After a 10 minute wait she started fine. NOW she is in the garage and everything works - but won't start at all. Is it all related to the Winter/sport switch or more. email me at dvavak@tconl.com

Any help would be appreciated. Going to the dealer is like signing my first born over.
