66 k service and key fob 900 1997

I recently got a 1997 940 wagon, 2.3 LPT, to replace my 1993 940s turbo which has been burning oil. I'll mend the oil leak in the '93 turbo when the weather improves. My 1989 240GL just keeps going.

The new 940 wagon has 66 k on the clock and a full Volvo service history up to 60 k. This amounts to stamps in a book but doesn't tell me what was done at various stages. Is there a way for me to find out what should be checked at the 66 k service and the 72, 78, 84 k and so on as well for that matter?

One of the electric remote locking key fobs munches a pair of batteries in a week. Is there a likely suspect for what is doing this? It works fine when I put in new batteries but a few days later it only works from right beside the car and then it stops working at all. The other key fob works OK.
