My GLT has started running rough at idle, particularly when cold, and I think that it is missing generally. I say that because it seems to be a little less powerful than usual on acceleration.
I did have the intake manifold off recently while I was repairing the wiring harness, so this is also a potential factor. I replaced some of the vacuum lines at the same time. Prior to taking off the manifold, the car tended to run a little high at idle, around 1000 to 1100rpm. Now it is idling at about 700 rpm.
I have looked at all of the vacuum lines that I can see and they all seem to be in place. I also checked some of the manifold bolts for tightness and they seemed to be properly fixed in place still. In other words, the manifold and vacuum lines appear to be pretty good.
Yesterday I pulled the sparkplugs and looked at them and they were all the correct tan colour. I didn't check the gap because they looked pretty close to .030 and weren't fouled.
My current thinking is that I have a faulty injector and I am going to try to give the injectors a quick check as outlined in Bentley. My question is: would this be your prime suspect or does something else jump to mind. If the injectors test out ok, where would you go from there.
