I replaced the FPR in my '85 760 yesterday. After everything was tightened down the car started up perfectly. I took it around the block with no problems. Actually I couldn’t believe the difference I could feel with the new FPR. This morning I started it up, like I always do, and let it warm for about 5 min, again no problem. On my way to work the car died. It felt like it was out of gas. It would start up then die again. After a few minutes of this the car started and ran the rest of the way to work. Could this engine stalling be contributed to opening up the fuel system when I replaced the FPR? Is it common for a B230FT to react this way after minor surgery such as this?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
