transmission bushing and seal 200 1984

What is the skinny on replacing the rear bushing on the AW70 tranny?
I have suffered with a high frequency vibration akin to that produced by an orbital sander, and expressed through the steering wheel, since I bought this car three months ago. I have replaced motor and transmission mounts, and gone through a number of gyrations trying to track down the source of this annoyance. I noted last night that there seem to be a few drops of oil on my driveway now, which I hope come from the transmission output, thereby proving that the vibration is due to a worn bushing/seal.
Is the replacement of these items a 2 hour or 20 hour job? Any words of wisdom of doing this myself on the floor of my gargage?
