1992 940 Turbo: Thermostat Replacement 900 1992

Just want to make sure others are in agreement:
· Heater is pumping out cold air
· Temperature gauge does not work
· Fuses and other electrical items appear in order
· Girlfriend has been advised to bring gloves and vodka

I am hoping that replacing the thermostat will remedy this. Anything else I should inspect?
