I have adjusted the valve shims in my 940, in cold engine. I notice now that the valves are quiet when the engines starts from cold, but the valves get noisier as the engines warms up. they continue to be noisy during driving. I have read the controversies about doing the valve adjustment with engine stone cold and hot engine. One does not drive with a cold engine for long, perhaps a few minutes. The engine is normally hot, so I think now, based on my experience, that the valves should be adjusted in hot engine. What is your opinion? Thanks
