Please help! S90-V90

Hello everybody I own a 1998 Volvo S90 (960). For weeks, I have been skimming all the post on the S90-V90 series cars, I really got a lot of help, (Especially that heat control valve thing, it saved my car! I found out mine was cracked!)

Anyways,

I am just your average punk teenager, got this car off my mom when I turned 16. Never had any accidents, but my mom did manage to rip off the front bumper because of one those stupid cow grill things on a truck!

Okay so here is the deal, I got the car at about 80,500 miles

It now has 99,500.

FYI: My dad used to have a 940 that had 875,000 miles on it! But it gave up eventually.... :-{

These are the following problems I am having with the car. Any help and/or tips to help solve the problems would be much appreciated.

1. Loose steering.
Steering is looser then when I got it. There is a 1" play in the steering wheel! I though about tightening the bolts under the steering column, but I want confirmation that that is save to do.

2. Car drifts to the right.
My dad and I though it was the alignment, but nooooooooooooooo! We had it done, and it still drags to the right all the time. (When steering wheel is not gripped.) I guess this means bad bushings..... god help me.

3. I just had the front brake rotors and pads replaced, but now...

A. The front left area squeaks like hell whenever I am braking from a slow speed to a stop. (Sounds like a 10 year old Walmart shopping cart!)

B. The front right area occasionally has this rolling grinding sound when braking from a slow to stop speed. (Literally sounds like a jetliner flying overhead. I am scared of this one!)

I have inspected both rotors to make sure they have broken in properly, they are nice and smooth with no awkward grooves.

4. I have a failing PNP switch, I keep shifting from P to L every time I get into the car to keep the problem away. (BY THE WAY: Does anyone know a very good Volvo mechanic in the Arlington, Texas area? I can not do work myself, I do not have the proper tools!)

5. Air conditioning system has a mind of its own! Vents are open when all switches are off! This problem is less of a priority for me... but could use help.
