I am beginning a seat rebuild and have good instruction on taking the bottom apart and that's done. But I don't have instructions for the seat back and I am stuck trying to get the big adjustment wheel off and it looks like I need to do that to get off the fabric.

I have the big plastic cap off the center of it and can see that it is held onto a shaft with one of those metal compression fittings that slides on easily, but not off so easily. I have tried a little prying to no effect and I don't want to break the plastic.

So, anybody know the trick?
