In the Middle of a Job 1989 740 GL Water Pump Replacement Question 700

Hello,

Right in the middle of the job the old water pump is is off, I have a new Hepu to install, however "call me stupid" but the old pump had the bolts on it already, the new one doesn't, it came with 4 bolts but I really am having a hard time understanding how the rest is installed, there is no room to thread the bolts onto the water pump, or am i doing something wron thanks, John
