I'm confused. I was changing the brake pads on my 240 and found the PO had used anti-squeal shims. The confusion was that there were two shims on each pad assembly, a plain metal shim as well as the teflon coated anti-squeal shim. Both were on the outside of the assembly (caliper side), one on top of the other. Is this the correct way to install an anti-squeal shim. I would think you would use one shim, but not both??? If I am not being clear, on each wheel, the pads were in place and then the two shims were installed between the outer most pad and the caliper with the teplon coated pad next to the piston. Is this correct?? Thanks. Allen
