Thank you for all the advise I have received in the past week about my three Volvo models. I had a number of problems piling up and some new ones adding. I think that I will be able to catch up now and hopefully be problem free for a while soon. One I could not come with a quick fix resulted in a trip to my mechanic unfortunately he did not found a good solution to the problem either. One power stage in one of my 960 has blown out twice and the only answer to that was that it was due to heat and a bit of heat compound paste was the only fix. By reading several comment on this matter in this forum I am convinced now that is a problem with the alternator overcharging in an intermittent basis. I have already ordered a rebuild unit and will be installing it soon. Well done.
