OK Volvo Friends,
I'm at the end of my touble shooting abilites. I drove this car on a 350 mile business trip, parked it in the driveway, and I haven't been able to restart since!
Here's what I've either tested or replaced with good components.
1)Air Mass meter, swapped and tested in my other 87 turbo.
2)Replaced and tested, engine temp sensor
3)Replaced and tested RPM sensor.
4)Checked timing
5)checked cap and rotor
6)changed ignition wires
7)checked throttle position switch.
8)Oxygen sensor is bad (but that won't keep me from at least starting)
9) have good spark in each cylinder, but plugs are getting soaked when I try to start the engine.
It almost seems like its out of time? Could the ignition control unit under the drivers side dash be the problem?
Help, I know I'm a hack mechanic, but I love this car and I refuse to pay Volvo big bucks to fix the problem.
