Two weeks ago on the way to a meeting, during a snow storm, our Volvo instantly died. After getting it towed home I proceeded to troubleshoot to no avail... the car still does not run! Here is what I have tried:
Spark at high tension lead, yes
Clean dist cap, rotor, plugs, spark at plugs good
Fuel pump relay looks and sounds good 1999 version of relay...both pumps work
Pressure on fuel rail yes, how much pressure? blocked return line for full pump pressure on rail, no start
radio supression relay good
code 1 1 1
check for shearing of cam pulley roll pin, no
disconnect amm, no start
remove ECU, internals "look" good, nothing obviously burnt
12v at injectors
I on a daily basis come up with new ideas as to what might be at issue. I now think that the injectors might not be getting grounding pulses from ECU or that the fuel pressure might not be high enough.... there is no coughing or stumbling, the engine seems dead.
flywheel ignition sensor, new
ballast resistor good
ignition amplifier good.............
Thanks in advance
