Is the rear wiper supposed to turn on when I honk the horn? Why? 200

I am new to Volvos but now I understand their popularity. Why is the rear wiper doing 1 wipe when I honk the horn, is this an example of the Swede's sense of humor or do I need to take a close look at my wiring. I do have a couple of damaged wires at the hatch hinge. ? Can the hatch wires be re-pulled from where to where?
