Hello all: I have a 1987 240 Volvo Wagon, B230F engine, Automatic Transmission, 195,00 miles.

I have been having trouble trying to diagnose somewhat substantial vibration that appears to be coming from under the car through the drivetrain. It does not feel like your normal front end shake of vibration. I can feel the vibration as I sit in the drivers seat and between the front seats.

I have done a number of things already as follows:

1. I replaced the center support bearing and the large rubber bearing mounting donut.

2. Replaced the bushing in the rear extension (tailshaft) housing on the transmission.

3. Replaced the rear transmission rubber mount (the old one only had 20,000 miles on it)

4. I swapped out all 4 tires with those from my other Volvo 240 (there was no change in the vibration).

5. About 20,000 miles ago the front control arm bushings, tie rod ends, new front strut cartridges were replaced.

6. About 40,000 ago the front wheel bearings and races where replaced.

7. About 50,000 miles ago the rear trailing arm bushings were replaced.

8. 70,000 miles ago the front lower balls joints were replaced

It seems that everything that I have done so far has made no difference. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks...Mr.Tool
