Need advice. Trying to decide btw a 94 945T with 111k miles, a 95 965 with 92k miles and a 96 965 with 70k miles. All cars look good. The first two are at Volvo dealers (Richardson Volvo and the Volvo Center in Richardson and San Antonio, Texas, respectively) the 96 is from a GM and Volkswagon dealer. The prices are $5995, $7000 and $6218, respectively. The last one is so cheap because the AC does not blow cold. All cars have service records and up to date services.
My first inclination is to get the 940T as it has the tried and true Red Block engine, slightly more head and shoulder room and is less complicated overall. Also, my wife drives a 95 944 (NA) that we purchased two years ago that has been absolutely trouble free. I currently drive a 745 (NA) and like it too were it not for the deteriorating plastic that I've begun to replace (with new dealer parts...I get good prices since I have so many Volvos and the dealer knows I'll order out of town in a heart beat) and a headliner that is just beginning to sag (a likely summertime project for me and my son who will inherit the 740 if I buy another car). However, I must admit I'm somewhat infatuated with the superior creature comforts that the 960 has. ALl of you 945T owners - what do you think about that $5995 price on the 945T. I've already received opinions on the 965s from the 960/V90 forum.
Thanks!
