New to 940s 900

Howdy all.

I've been a 240 owner for some time, and now I'm ready to look at buying a 740 or a 940. So a few questions:

What are the significant differences between a 940 and a 240? Mostly cosmetic (body design differences)?

And... What are the significant differences between a 940 and a 740? Other than the "rounder" body, how similar are these two models?

Sorry for such a general question... clearly, I'm trying to get a jump on the info curve.
