1989 740GL No Reverse in Tranny Need Replacement?? Tips?? 700

My 1989 740GL with 203K miles has a tranny issue. It won't engage reverse anymore. Other gears work but no reverse. Do I need a new tranny? If so, are there any tips/procedures on how to replace it? Where is a good place to purchase a used tranny?
I serviced the tranny last year, new filter, fluid, gasket. It ran fine but it did get a little louder over the part year. Then it lost reverse. Thanks Again.
