Last week I went up to Seqouia Ntl Forrest for a little backcountry skiing during a heavy snowfall. The road conditions were pretty grim going in and especially getting out. I put chains on the rear tire and cables in the front for extra braking and steering control. Man, did she handle like a tank glued to the road. I even got stuck behind an SUV that only had chains on 2 tires that couldn't stay on the road.
The most gratifying part was after I dug out the driver's door, the tail pipe, and infront of the car, she started right up on the first revolution. This was after being buried in the snow for 4 days. My friend who was with me, who is also a shade tree mechanic, couldn't help but give me props.
