I have a 1976 240 that overheated due to loss of coolant. The mating surface is dished .016 lengthwise. Is this too far out of spec to provide a good seal? If I plane the head, will this cause the cam to bind? Can one mill the cam bearing caps and then line bore the cam bearings? Any suggestions are appreciated. Paul.
