Yanked up on the handbrake yesterday and POP the cable snapped. I opened up the center console area to get a look at it, hoping that something had simply slipped off the handbrake lever, but alas, the cable was broken. Here is a picture of the piece that snapped off:

The procedure in the FAQ doesn't mention anything about replacing this particular part of the cable, or maybe I'm just reading it wrong. Do I have to replace the entire cable all the way from the handle to... what is it, the left wheel? Man, that's going to be a pain, especially in the cold weather.
Any tips?
