Replacing the seat heater switches 200 1989

The opaque plastic in my passenger heat seater switch is cracked, so I found one on eBay that I received in the mail today. I'm not sure how to remove the old switch and put in the new one.

It looks like the switch is held in place by the two metal tabs at the front and back of the switch. It seems the switch slides into place, with the two metal contact pieces on the bottom going into their (presumed) slots in the emergency brake console unit. I hope I don't have to take the entire console apart to get the new switch in place.

To remove the old switch, do I slip my fingers in the space between the switches and depress the tabs before pulling up? Is there any trick to getting the switch out without difficulty? Does the new switch slide right into place?

Also, where is the light for the switch? The one in place works fine; it's just the illuminated plastic on the "button" that's broken. When the switch is removed, does the light remain in place in the console, or does it come out with the switch? Will I have to take the bulb out of the old switch and put it in the new switch (which didn't come with a light I can see)? Thanks for your help!
