Hi all, I just got this 245DL Wagon. It has been sitting for 1.25 years, started by the owner about every other but not driven. the transmission slipped when I drove it to a service station, about 1.5 miles. I had the transmission flushed and that took care of the slipping, had the oil changed and a fuel injection treatment done. When I picked up the car, I was told that the alternator was bad and that now the car stalls when put in gear. They said that it was the increased "load" on the car now that the transmission was working properly. I replaced the plugs and cleaned out the flame trap which was clogged, the battery reads 12.5V w/o a load and 12.1V with the car running and the lights on. There is a 1/4 tank of gas in the car, could the fuel treatment be causing this?? I would appreciate any advice! Thanks, Noel Smith Morrow, Ohio
